Moustache, Mustache & My-'stache.

So for those of you not in the know, May=Moustache. That's why they call it Moustache May. There's "the" Website, Facebook, even a Google map. And since I already hit on (most of) the big events in May, I'm going to take the opportunity to devote an entire blog entry to one topic. Moustache, and what it means to me. But since I don't think I could ever sum into words such sentiment, I'll let others do it for me, and show you a whole bunch of pictures. Enjoy!

British literary theorist Terry Eagleton writes of a small class of objects which "exist entirely for their own sake and for no drearily utilitarian purpose—a category which along with God includes art, evil and humanity." To this list, we might add the moustache—a superfluous efflorescence of male facial plumage that represents a rebellion against the generic bleakness of mainstream guy fashion.
Emily Bartlett Hines

I'd always intended for MM to be a creative endeavor reached through the celebration of the moustache and this year could not have been better proof of that.
Michael Eades

I don't think 'staches are respected enough. It's political. It's a political statement.
Brad Pitt

A man without a moustache is like a cup of tea without sugar.
